Security Analyst Wanted at the County Administrative Boards' IT Department

The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is in an exciting phase of development where digitization, innovative solutions, and security and preparedness issues are in focus. Our IT environment is extensive and varied, encompassing everything from modern infrastructure to systems we develop ourselves. The operations of the County Administrative Boards have a wide range and operate in areas that are highly relevant in today's society. Digitization is a strong driving force for the County Administrative Boards, where IT often plays a key role in realizing needs.

The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is national and works for all 21 County Administrative Boards in Sweden.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want to work as a security analyst at an advanced level while contributing to societal benefit?

We are looking for someone with experience in identifying, analyzing, and investigating advanced security incidents.

You have several years of experience in SOC work and will work on identifying and developing responses to new threats and attack patterns, as well as possibly experience in malware analysis. You will work with security monitoring, threat analysis, and vulnerability management alongside other competent and engaged teams within IT.

Examples of job responsibilities:

  • Further development of operational security capabilities
  • Work with vulnerability scanning and risk assessments
  • Work with log collection and analysis of security events
  • Identify and investigate intrusions and incidents
  • Assess priority and risk in cases and incidents
  • Participate in penetration testing
  • Management of tools and systems
  • Monitoring of the external environment in the field

We offer flexible work with opportunities for remote work part of the time. Travel within the country may occur.

The place of employment is Vänersborg or Gothenburg.

Qualifications

You have:

  • A university degree in IT or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • Several years of experience in SOC work.
  • Experience in network detection, setup, and analysis of network logs.
  • Experience in conducting incident analyses of events in infrastructure and clients.
  • Experience in digital forensic analysis, intrusion detection, and threat intelligence.
  • Very good and certified knowledge in IT security.

We would also like you to have experience in:

  • Building and further developing security monitoring.
  • Creating situational reports and developing materials to measure the effectiveness of security monitoring over time.
  • Experience in malware analysis.

The County Administrative Board is a preparedness authority and has a specific responsibility during crises and war/increased preparedness.

The employment may begin with a 6-month probationary period. It may also include on-call duty or standby duty.
